History:
This car was the second last factory works car produced by the BMC Australia
at the Zetland factory. It was purpose built for the 1967 Surfers Paradise 12hour,
and driven by John French & Brian Foley. At one point it was running 2nd
outright but unfortunately had to retire with oil pressure problems. An interesting
point: On it’s dash it had “Sound horn when passing Ferrari”
this is still on the dash just waiting for a slow Ferrari!
It was also raced at Bathurst in 1969 by Bob Skelton against another car here at the track Wal Donley’s – Turner.

Front: Morris Minor torsion bar, hydraulic dampeners with MGB wishbones
Rear: Leaf springs with hydraulic dampeners

drilled to lighten the car.
