The first mid-week run for 2019 was a little different. Firstly, it was a fairly wet day and 2 drivers decided to stay home, but 5 cars did make it to the starting point at Murrumba Downs. After some discussion we set off via Keith and Karen’s place where I had to leave my Sprite to rest awhile because it was giving me some trouble.
From there we travelled to Dayboro for an enjoyable morning tea and long chat. At this point I travelled back to the Gordon’s house with Nev in the ‘Rodeo’ Sprite while the others headed up past Mt Mee for a nice run and lunch in the country.
Eventually I made it home safely with Nev, my trusty escort, where I got my head under the bonnet again while trying to sort through all of the advice I had received from my more experienced companions.
– Alex Robertson in Kermit
– Nev Mansfield in the Rodeo
– Tony Slattery in the MG Y (Dunkin)
– Matt Creagh in the tiptop wagon

The April Run will be held in early May!
So, on Thursday 2 May we meet at the Mustang Clubrooms at 9.30 am for a run to Sleeping Beauties at Moorooka where we will spend some time enjoying the cars being restored by some great craftsmen.
From there we head south and east to the cane fields around Jacobs Well (nice flat roads and interesting corners) with lunch at a country pub.
Please come along!
